Ranger Lodge, you are eligible for this invaluable protection.
The Fraternal Order of Police - Legal Plan Inc. was created by
the National F.O.P. to administer the F.O.P. Legal Defense Plan.
This
program is designed specifically to
cover the law enforcement exposures faced by members of the
F.O.P. The Legal Plan pays legal defense costs on behalf of
participating members.
If you do not have this invaluable
coverage in today's law enforcement environment, we advise you
to look into this valuable information.
Alternative Plans
In addition to the plan above, we are now listing a couple of
alternatives for our members to check into. We are not
endorsing any of these plans, but strongly suggest that you have
some type of liability insurance protection.

Employee Defense Services (FEDS)

federal liability insurance for other options.
Under PL
104-2008 of Sept. 30, 1996,
5 USC Chap. 59, Subchapter. IV,
agencies will reimburse 50 percent of the cost of annual
premiums for these federal employees:
- Law enforcement officers as
defined by 5 USC Section 8331(20) and 5 USC Section 8401(17).
- Supervisors as defined by 5
USC Section 7103(a)(10).
- Management officials as
defined by 5 USC Section 7103(a)(11).
NOTE:
You are eligible to receive up to a 50% reimbursement from your
park for legal defense dues. Simply fill out a form
SF 1164 with proof of your latest payment and turn it into
your administrative officer. |
